Biodiesel

Biodiesel is a domestically produced, renewable fuel that can be manufactured from vegetable oils, animal fats, or recycled restaurant greases. Biodiesel is safe, biodegradable, and reduces serious air pollutants such as particulates, carbon monoxide, hydrocarbons, and air toxins. ~ AFDC

Vadar is currently working towards the production of our own biodiesel to provide fuel for company cars and heat for our facilities and employee's homes.

Stirling Engine

The Stirling engine was invented by Robert Stirling in 1816.  Stirling engines work by the repeated heating and cooling of a usually sealed amount of working gas, thus converting a temperature difference across the machine into mechanical power.  Stirling engines are capable of producing useful, renewable, zero-emissions energy using naturally occurring temperature differences.

Vadar Associates, Inc. is developing a custom Stirling engine that could be applied to such practical uses as circulating air or pumping water.
